Following the launching of the IDP Resilience Award on January 20th, 2021,13 videos where shortlisted and 9 were retained for the competition because they demonstrated their capacity to utilize and develop survival skills to make a living. These skills ranged from crocheting to beading sandals and producing detergents . The closing ceremony of the Award took place on Saturday, March 6, 2021, wherein, the first six (6) outstanding IDPs were rewarded prices, instead of 3 as initially planned because of extra finance from well wishers. The winners were selected based on the sum of their likes, comments and shares of their Facebook videos and the internal jury decisions.
